Furcadia Font Generator

Instructions

  1. Enter in your font face, size and colour as appropriate.
  2. Set your background (transparent) colour. It is highly recommended that unless you know how to work with 8-bit anti-aliasing, that you turn off your OS' font smoothing (for Windows XP: Display Properties › Appearance › Effects and uncheck the box next to Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts).
  3. Submit the form the generate the font blocks.
  4. Take a screenshot of the resulting blocks and copy them into an image editing program. Crop them to the same size, inside the black border. Make sure to get all 3 pixels of Colour 226.
  5. Draw a 1px high, 3px wide line of Color 226 inside each Colour 52 and aligning with the baseline of your font's letters (minus the 'tails' on fonts like g and y).
  6. Save your font 'sheets'.
  7. Save the text as suggested below as font.ini.
  8. Test and edit as appropriate.
